People interested in Music

BeauHalton

I moved from my home of origin, Philadelphia, Pa., to Jacksonville's Beaches with the intention of staying for a year or two — just to check out the Florida scene. That was in 1982. Now I'm fully ensconced; I love our little northeast corner of Florida, and especially our slice of coastline. How much longer can it remain at least somewhat of a secret? My favorite aspect of journalism has always been chronicling the proverbial human condition. What makes people do what they do? Why do they succeed? Why do they fail? Why do they get in trouble? Why do they defy nature? What a great place the Beaches is to peruse and theorize about the human condition. What a fine microcosm we are, what a great place for a bike ride, what a great place to live. I hope this revamped Web site gives Shorelines the opportunity to become a more thorough and interesting community forum for all of us along the coast. Constructive communication is quite the elixir, isn't it?

Billy

On MySpace, I am billyonbass which is primarily for my musical interests and passion. My personal website BillyDavies.com goes into some more details. Basically, I am an Advocate for Open Source Software, an Entrepreneur, and a Musician. With a goal "To promote, encourage, and assist in the adoption of Open Source Technologies in schools, homes and the marketplace" I am developing a FLOSSToday.com website to spread the word about FLOSS!. Ham Radio is a hobby that has been very good to me. Recently I joined the Beaches Amateur Radio Society and hope to be an active, contributing member. N3GBZ is my callsign.

ChristinaAbel

Hi, I'm Christina Abel. I am the Ponte Vedra Beach reporter for the Florida Times-Union Shorelines newspaper. Our editions come out on Wednesday and Saturday. Obviously news happens on the other days of the week too, so this web site will allow me to update readers on news and information between our print editions. I've been a reporter here for 2 1/2 years. I received my bachelor's degree from Ripon College in Wisconsin. Upon graduation, I worked at the Merrill Lynch headquarters in New York City in the Employee Communications department. I attended graduate school at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University. After I graduated I had a six week internship at the business section of the Florida Times-Union and was subsequently hired at the Shorelines. The rest is history!

My world revolves around music, photography and travel. I live at the beach and enjoy meeting new people. I try to experience life from all perspectives and to the fullest whenever possible. Through photography and poetry, my passions are captured and shared with the world. Fine art landscapes and concerts capturing nature's beauty and human emotion are my specialties. Photography galleries can be viewed at www.carolkeller.com.

As a staff photographer for The Florida Times Union Shorelines I look forward to each assignment for the chance to meet and learn how people work, play and spend their free time in North East Florida.

Welcome to the other side of fitness! If you are looking for a new and exciting workout you have found it! Dance Trance owners, Jay & Beth Handline promote Dance Trance as a class that offers extremes in choreography and style. The DT classes never get hung up on just one form of dance! There is a complete freedom, and unlike traditional dance, few rules. DT was developed for students that want to 'get down' but are not professional dancers. It is not a dance class, but a fitness class that uses dance to get the most out of a workout. Dance Trance is located at 214 Orange Street in Neptune Beach and is coming soon to San Marco! Call us at 904-246-4600 or go to dancetrancefitness.com
