Red Tide Woes?
Has anyone been suffering from the red tide lately? Even the rain hasn't washed away my sniffling, sneezing, coughing, watery eyes, etc. I can't ever recall experiencing this before. Any guesses as to when it will stop so I can go outside again? Are you looking for an older dog or a puppy? My grandparent's Golden always got along with their Irish Setter, but I'm not sure you would find one of those at the Humane Society. Submitted by LeesIceCream on Thu, 10/04/2007 - 4:05pm.
Definitely try the Humane Society first. It's always a good act to save a dog. Submitted by NeptuneNovice on Thu, 10/04/2007 - 4:24pm.
I walked to the Pier and back last night and things are definitely better out there. Red Tide is still lingering but moving south. I noticed the closer I got to the Pier, my throat started to tickle and eyes started to itch but it was nothing compared to last Wednesday night. Red Tide be gone! Go to animal control first! The humane society is a no kill shelter. The animals at Jax animal care and control are on the clock!! Save a life!! |

OK, I am considering getting another dog as a companion to my golden retriever. My requirements are :
(1) can't be snippy, barky (is that a word) or hyper
(2) must be under 60 pounds
(3) must get along with my golden
(4) can't be too expensive (not over $300)
(5) must be a puppy, not an older dog (to make sure it's trained well)
Open to unusual breeds.
Otherwise, I'll get another golden (should I get same sex as my female golden?) or start visiting the humane society.
I welcome your thoughts.
