Once again  we open the pages to a new era, one that started out with good intentions, but later turned out to become a misuse of power while in office to enforce the will of a select few upon the many family and business owners. Some may say it was needed to clean up mayport road,while others cry foul. Has the Mayor over stepped his authority to use another agency to declare marshal law upon mayport business owners Mayor meserves  plan to bully not only business but homeowners as well. 150 violations thus far for which only a police officer who writes traffic tickets can attest to. If the mayor tried this in the up scale communities along seminole road he may have been tar and feathered out of office. Mayor meserve has already violated his aggreement not to use the back gate of fleet landing as a drive through in residental area yet he continues to ignore selva marina requests.

one of floridas oldest  fishing village is destroyed by jaxport, theres no better way to describe the crime in its entirely, as many players are involved, Mayport supported the Navy in 1941 by giving up half of its land so as to protect this country in time of war and have been proud to serve. Now will the citizens of Jacksonville allow Jaxport and the cruise ship industry to take what ever land away from the fishermen and shrimpers in which they have plied their trade from one generation to the next.Courage. When I think of that word, I think of policemen, fireman and armed forces. I think of cancer victims, people born with disabilities and recovering victims of domestic violence. Courage is the personality trait the drives people to do things, others would never consider, to take on tasks that seem so insurmountable to others, as to seem impossible. Yet, there are those who chose to do what they think is right, to fight for what they believe in, at any cost. American shrimpers,have given so much to this community and the city of Jacksonville and now this is how we repay them, I hope that you write the city counsel, the governor,to stop this destruction of mayport and say this fishing village needs to be preserved for the next generation, not some floating city of garbage such as a cruise ship like carnival

Lets look at the facts Jax port is out of control taking by what ever means property owned by tax paying citizens, their greed shows as they gobble up land for what they call their econmic engine.The condo owners love to cover the beaches with condos blocking our access to the water,now since that is not an option due to restrictions in place vescor wants to build condos in mayport but did you see anywhere in all their drawings or pictures any shrimp boats or commercial fishermen, not one not even one shrimper.................vescor is not fooling us as they are only looking at making a profit off of their investment wiping out the small fishing village of mayport.Now turning our attention to jax port authority nancy rublin spins a good tale for jax port by avoiding the facts about cruise ships, taking property by what ever means necessary to build a cruise terminal in mayport.lets look at cruise shp records which jax port claim to have clean it self up five years ago. Carnival cruise lines report shows many violations including falsifying reports.
